Life's Little Surprises

I'm gonna be a mom, again! Life is full of surprises, and this is a major one for me. I'll record my feelings, pregnancy progress, and general life happenings here.

Half way done...

I haven't really been a fan of taking pictures of my pregnant self. However, because this is the last baby, and there are atleast a few of me pregnant with the boys, I thought I better go ahead and start somewhere. So, before leaving for work tonight, Sweetie took a picture of me. I am now about 21 and a half weeks pregnant.

Before you freak and think I'm huge already, lots of people who've known me years think I am smaller with this baby than with the boys. I dunno what I think yet. I mean, she's sitting really high, so I think the look is just different. Not necessarily smaller.

Anyway, I've been not feeling good so I haven't been on to update about the wrecks and such. I will. Soon. Just not tonight. Sweetie goes back to the surgeon on Friday to see where his treatment goes from here. My little sister is doing well too. She goes to the doctor on Tuesday for a follow-up. Not sure what is going to change for her this soon, but Sweetie might get the go ahead to start trying to walk again. Who knows. That's about all I got on that subject right now.

Real quickly, I have to say my boys are driving me crazy!!! But, they are estatic about their baby sister! Isaiah keeps saying he can't wait to see her and Noah says he wants her to come out now! I'm so glad they are happy. It makes this whole thing so much easier. I love my kids. All four (Sweetie, Isaiah, Noah, Jasmine~in case you thought I was crazy!) of them. ~sigh~

Ultrasound picture

Blogger is stupid and wouldn't let me put the picture in the last post. So, I'm trying again in a new post.

Decisions, decisions....

Bad news or baby news? Wrecks or ultrasounds? Those are the choices for tonights update. If you don't mind, I'd just like to talk about babies and ultrasounds tonight. I'll update about the wrecks and injuries tomorrow. (Everyone is gonna be fine. Promise.)

So, I'm sure you're all dying to know if the baby has girly bits or penis parts. Actually, I'm sure most of you already know because I can't keep my mouth shut, and I'm seriously no good at lying. I mean, if I could have told everyone we couldn't tell the gender then that would have been about one step further in lying than I've ever been before. And that would have been funny, for about 5 minutes. But, since I'm so honest and so totally estatic about it, I've told just about everyone that the baby is a girl!!!!! I am beyond words with happiness. Jasmine Faith will complete our family in a way we never expected it to be completed. *happy sigh*

Friday, the 11th, Sweetie and I, plus Isaiah, went for my 20 week scan. As the picture appeared on the screen, our baby was wiggling and content. She had one foot on her forehead and kept putting her fingers and thumb in her mouth. We got to see her yawn and take a drink of fluid. It was awesome. Having many ultrasounds before, I didn't think I would be so excited, but neither of the boys did much in there. Isaiah looked as if he were praying on the one big ultrasound I had, and with Noah, I don't recall anything out of the ordinary. So, so see Jasmine drinking and sucking her thumb, and yawning!, was so amazing. And, the best part, the ultrasound showed a perfectly normal, healthy baby. Sweetie was extremely worried about that when we first found out we were expecting again. Iraq has yucky stuff there, and he didn't want the baby to be messed up and feel like it was his fault. So, huge relief. She's perfect, just like God intended her.

On October 9th I go for the 3D ultrasound. That is going to be awesome!! Those pictures look like real photographs and I can't wait!! I wanted one with Isaiah and with Noah, but they were so expensive that we couldn't afford it. I think with Bubba they were like over $400 and with Noah it would have been like $250. I can get one at the doctor with a cd and everything for $125. So, we're splurging. Actually, *I'm* splurging. I didn't really ask permission, I just told Sweetie I scheduled it. He's agreeable to it. :)

Anyway, as far as the placental tear I had, the doctor says everything looks great. You can see on ultrasound where the tear was, but it's still small and in no danger of bleeding now. Jasmine is growing perfectly, so they are no longer concerned with the tear. When the doctor asked if we had any questions, Sweetie hardly let her finish her sentence before blurting "Can we have sex?". Poor guy, he's been deprived for almost 3 months. Of course, she said only if *I* wanted to. *wink*

Well, I guess I don't know much more for now. Baby Jasmine is kicking around in there quite a bit, but not very hard. She's gentler than the boys were. And sitting way higher too. And, I'm still just amazed that I'm going to have a daughter!!!! The Lord hears our prayers, and knows our hearts. How awesome that He would send me a baby girl. :)

If blogger will let me, the following is a picture of Jasmine sucking her thumb....

Where does the time go???

Ok, so, I suck. I really need to update here more often. However, life has been crazy for a while now. I don't want to stay up for another hour to type it out, but I'll be updating over the next few days.

In the mean time, please pray for Van because he wrecked his motorcycle last month. Also, please, please, pray for my little sister. She is coming home from the hospital tomorrow after a week. She wrecked her car. Details to come.

And just a quick update, the baby is doing well. We found out the gender this past Friday, but that is a whole post entirely to itself. :)
